OpenAI's latest report reveals cybercriminals are increasingly using ChatGPT to create phishing content, spread disinformation, and refine malware. State-sponsored hacking groups from China and Iran have leveraged the AI tool in multiple cyberattacks, including password theft and data breaches. Although no fundamentally new malware has emerged, these incidents underscore the ease with which generative AI can be manipulated for harmful activities.
